Rapinder has over 8 years of experience in working with children and young people. Before joining the Local House Project, she worked in Supported Accommodation and as a Strengthening Families’ Worker in Early Intervention.

Rapinder works to make a positive difference in young people’s lives, enabling them to achieve better outcomes.

EXIT Study: Toolkit launched!

Care leavers are set to benefit from a new innovation toolkit designed by Warwick Business School. The Implementation Toolkit helps local authorities, care homes, charities and organisations working in the care sector to implement new ideas that will improve their service without getting stuck with ‘pilotitis’ – ie never seeing the light of day after numerous trials.

IMPACT – Improving Adult Social Care Together

IMPACT’s objectives fitted well with those of NHP and what we wanted to achieve organisationally in order to provide a positive environment for young care experienced adults to feel supported and thrive. On this basis we put in a bid to be an IMPACT Demonstrator Site, suggesting that we have Coventry and Fife LHPs as areas of focus to enable us to look at frameworks for both England and Scotland. Our bid was successful, and we look forward to starting this work in September which will run until September 2025.

Edinburgh Kiltwalk Fundraiser

Our next fundraising venture is Edinburgh Kiltwalk. The event will take place on 15 September 2024 and is an opportunity to enjoy a walk around the beautiful city and coastline of Edinburgh. All of the walks start in the city centre and take you around the Capital before finishing up at the Kiltwalk Village in Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium.
