Our Wonderful Clients
We have a very special relationship with the Care Leavers National Movement (CLNM) and recently saw a group of young clients from Warwickshire House Project. The CLNM comprises care leavers from local House Projects across the country. Their expert advice helps to develop House Projects and improve outcomes for all young people leaving care. House Projects prepare Care Leavers to settle into adult life with the skills that they need to manage interdependent living.
Reece from Warwickshire House Project was delighted with his suit and wrote to us about his experience: ‘I was so happy when I got the opportunity to go to Suited & Booted as I had heard such good things from my friends at Care Leavers National Movement who represent the young person’s voice in The National House Project. I remember seeing young people at the CLNM conference on stage presenting to hundreds of people looking so smart and confident with the support of Suited & Booted. It was at that point I knew I wanted to join CLNM, a few months after I did, and I became a CLNM representative for Warwickshire House Project. I love nice quality clothes; they make me feel good about myself. I left Suited & Booted with other young people from my House Project feeling confident, smart and ready to take on the world.’

Celebrating Success at the Frontline Awards
In May, we were proud to attend the Frontline Awards to celebrate Coventry City Council’s Pathways service winning the Multi-Agency Partnership of the Year award. Funded by the Rayne Foundation, the Pathways programme brings together a number of organisations, including NHP, Coram Voice and The Rees Foundation, working closely alongside the Throughcare Service, Coventry House Project and Lifelong Links. Together, the partnership supports young people leaving care to develop skills, build positive relationships, and focus on their emotional health and wellbeing. Three cohorts of young people from Coventry have now go through the Pathways Programme. Seeing the partnership recognised nationally was a fantastic moment and a powerful reflection of the impact collaborative working can have in supporting care-experienced young people.

Aspirational Awards Update
In May, the Aspirational Awards panel awarded just over £15,000 to 19 young people across our LHPs. It was inspiring to see such a wide range of ideas, goals and determination reflected in the applications, and a privilege to support more young people as they take their next steps forward. Funding in Round 9 supported training + graduate employment scheme, equipment for a baking business and support for other businesses, sports sessions, music lessons, lifeguard course, and day trips. We have also recently completed a 3 year review of our Aspirational Awards and the impact they’ve had. Over the past 3 years, we’ve awarded over £147,000 to 138 young people (not including figures from our most recent round in May). Glasgow Kiltwalk 2026
We’re proud to celebrate a fantastic effort at the Glasgow Kiltwalk 2026, where 25 dedicated walkers came together to raise over £3,500 in support of The National House Project and young people across its Local House Projects, making it a memorable day of teamwork, challenge, and impact.
